Basketball

Drew had a basketball game on Thursday in Mattoon. He played a great game, he scored 9 points. However, they did lose the game. He was so sore and tired the next day, but he recovered pretty quick.

Geocaching

Today we used Darrell's christmas present (GPS) and went geochaching. We went to two sites, they were pretty easy to find, one was at the parking area outside of Tuscola and the other at the Hippie Memorial in Arcola. The kids had a great time trying to find the cache.

Merry Christmas

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Jewelry
Spotting Scope
Nerf Finger Football
The Herschberger boys have started a wrapping paper war tradition.
They have so much fun, running thru and throwing paper, it gets pretty
wild and crazy. The best part is, they clean up all the paper.

Winter Fun

The kids had a great time in the snow last weekend. Darrell helped them build the gigantic snowman, a few days later he was out cold ( he fell over) but it was fun while it lasted. Adam and Jeryl came over on Sunday and the kids all went sledding using the 4-wheeler. Since there are no hills in central Il.

"Sheriff Duke"

Drew played "Sheriff Duke" in our annual Christmas play at school this year, he did a fabulous job in acting and even had a southern drawl.

Turkey Run

We went to Turkey Run today. We canoed 4 miles down Sugar Creek. Alysha and I were in a canoe, and let's just say we didn't do as well as the guys did. We never tipped the boat, but we did go in a few circles, but by the time we got to the end we were doing pretty well.

Later we went on a 3 mile hike, we crossed the suspension bridge, hiked thru the canyons and went up and down to many steps to count. We were pretty exhausted by the end of the day,
but we had GREAT fun!!

Backyard visitors

We have been watching a set of twins grow up in our back yard this summer. We see them quite regularly, but wait for another month and they will be hiding all day. The other day they were within about 25 ft. of our patio.
